This is an outcomes-based programme accredited by the BQA and is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to quality assure or moderate assessments against standards.  It is based on the outcome statement:

        ‘Moderate standards-based assessment’, Level 6,

 Entry to this programme is achievement of the assessor standard ‘00056’ or its equivalent.

Successful candidates qualify for accreditation as Moderator with BQA.  This is offered as one Study School of 4 days’ duration.

This programme prepares individuals for the Internal Moderation System of the centre as they are empowered to quality assure the assessments in the centre and thereby enhance the credibility of the assessment results.  Internal Moderation System is a BQA requirement for all accredited centres.
